A scientifically accurate fantasy world simulator in dvelopment with procedurally generated worlds and stories.
Current features include:
- Plate tectonics simulation to generate realistic orogenies and ocean features
- Surface water movement with realistic soil transport and erosion
- A global climate model that calculates rainfall and temperature statistics throughout the year based on the topography of the planet
- Custom map outline imports that allow for control over placement of landmasses
- In depth model of magma cooling that allows for intricate bedrock formations, with detailed rock classifications
- Dozens of customizable variables that modify orogenies, plate movement, volcanism, glaciations, and climate
- Plant growth, tracking grasses, shrubs, conifers, and broadleaf trees, with a plant-based biome classification as a visual aid,
- Glaciers, fjords, and remnants of the last glacial maximum
- An experimental 3d renderer supporting visualization of Earth sized planets in real scale
Currently only a proof of concept of the scientifically accurate world generator and a 3d environment is available for downloads. Playable builds will come in the future.
Controls:
- WASD+E/Q for scrolling and zooming
- F1 to turn on display of tile variables (you need to select a tile with left mouse button first)
- F10 to go fullscreen
- F5 to enable collider rendering
- In 3d view, scroll wheel up/down to change movement speed
- hold shift to speed up movement
- press backspace in the 3d view to go back to the main menu
